Overview

UBC evaluates the impact of disease and medical care on health-related quality of life and other patient reported outcomes. Scientists from UBC's Center for Health Outcomes Research cover the disciplines of psychology, public health, epidemiology, and psychometrics to:

• Develop patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures;
• Evaluate the measurement qualities of patient-reported outcomes;
• Design and execute outcomes studies to evaluate symptoms, health-related quality of life, treatment satisfaction, and patient preferences associated with health interventions;
• Deliver scientific evidence to evaluate the health outcomes associated with innovative therapies and health care interventions.

Our scientists are the industry’s most experienced and well-respected experts in health outcomes research. We are highly skilled in the design and implementation of health outcome research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of biopharmaceuticals and other health care interventions. UBC's Health Care Analytics Group integrates outcomes research with health economics and pricing and reimbursement capabilities to demonstrate the value provided by innovative biopharmaceuticals and other health care interventions.
