Investigator Services

Overview

UBC provides rigorous training and education programs to support investigators and study site personnel. Our services include rater training, assessment and certification, and in-study ratings assessments. UBC offers customized curricula endorsed for their unparalleled design, interactive format, and practicality. We provide comprehensive delivery platforms, from live instruction to self-paced web-based training. Our programs promote clinical research excellence; enhance the administration, scoring and ratings reliability of clinically subjective scales by both experienced and inexperienced health care professionals; and support diagnostic skills and appropriate patient enrollment. Our training programs emphasize fundamentals and provide “hands on” learning opportunities.

The UBC Training & Education Group is a leader in investigator education and is widely recognized as a pioneer in the growing field of rater training. We offer a highly knowledgeable team of clinicians, multimedia developers, instructional designers, project managers and clinical trial experts.

UBC has supported medical education and training programs worldwide that support clinical research, product launch and commercialization. We have developed and conducted successful programs in more than 40 countries and 30 languages. Our training materials are well-suited for international audiences. Subtitling, voice-over, written translations, and cultural adaptations are standard features of our programs. UBC excels at facilitating native language instruction by adapting our proven “learn and confirm” training models to the languages and cultures of program participants. In addition to translated materials, sponsors may select from a range of meeting options, including large multinational, multi-lingual investigators’ meetings and smaller, single-language local meetings. UBC addresses the intricacies of applying clinical training and certification programs across cultural groups and can help clients understand how cultural and language differences may affect results of multinational clinical research.
