Global Multimedia & Live Training
UBC multimedia developers create and maintain a comprehensive library of high-quality custom learning materials to complement teaching sessions led by key opinion leaders. Our state-of-the-art production and post-production professionals design and produce a wide range of training media, including webcasts, self-paced web training, broadcast-quality videotapes, CD-ROMs, and DVDs. Our translators can prepare validated translations of transcripts, voice-overs or subtitled multimedia materials.
Our multimedia training programs and materials comply with federal guidelines on electronic records and electronic signatures and can be used to manage or distribute electronic documents and files that are important to a clinical trial. Our web-based training is SCORM 2.0 compliant and allows for interoperability with any SCORM compatible training and instructional materials.
Investigator Meeting Support
UBC maintains a constantly-evolving global network of more than 100 key opinion leaders (KOLs) who have demonstrated a high level of clinical and research excellence. These experts serve as primary trainers at UBC investigator meetings and other live training events. Additionally, UBC often features KOLs in multimedia educational materials.
UBC offers an array of live training formats and tools including plenary session presentations, workshops, case study discussions, role play exercises, audience response system (ARS) keypads, and interactive group discussions designed to provide participants with fundamentals and “hands on” practice. UBC Project Managers orchestrate investigator meeting details and coordinate all activities and deliverables that precede and follow these events. We coordinate project work plans and budgets, meeting agendas and presentations, audiovisuals, and post-meeting reports.
Site Assessment & Selection
UBC trains and evaluates raters prior to study start-up to identify and recruit the “best raters” for clinical studies. UBC maintains an evolving investigator database that includes more than 10,000 active investigators from around the world. We draw upon this database to provide sponsors with optimal sites and raters for their studies.
Inter-Rater Reliability & Certification
UBC Inter-Rater Reliability and Certification Programs increase investigator/rater understanding of target disease areas and ensure rater competence to accurately diagnose and enroll appropriate patients. Our programs certify raters to conduct research interviews, administer rating instruments and maximize concordance with standardized scoring conventions. UBC Inter-Rater Reliability and Certification Programs help clients manage complex in-study ratings processes and strengthen NDA submission packages by adding credibility and “hard data” to the investigator training and certification plan.
In-Study Investigator Assessment, Tutorials & Remediation
UBC promotes ratings reliability throughout the duration of a clinical trial by coupling real-time evaluation of clinician ratings with corrective rater interventions. Our In-study Ratings Reliability (IR2) Program™ insures that raters implement key learnings emphasized during rater training, enroll appropriate subjects, and accurately evaluate ratings.
