Heidi Ross, RN, BSN, has over 12 years of reimbursement research and clinical nursing experience with hospital inpatient and outpatient services, working in such varied therapeutic areas as hematology, oncology, immunology, transplant, AIDS/HIV and nephrology/ESRD. Currently, she directs all of UBC’s case management programs, including reimbursement hotlines and patient assistance programs. She also has expertise in coverage and reimbursement of third-party payers, as well as commercial and government agencies.
Prior to joining UBC, Ms. Ross was Field Program Manager of the PharmAnalysis Group, Inc. (acquired by United BioSource Corporation in August 2004). Previously, she served as Lead Analyst at PAREXEL, where she conducted research with internal and external organizations to improve patient access to treatments. Responsible for the notification and impact of pricing changes on product prescribers, Ms. Ross researched benefit investigations, appeals development, coding, billing and payer reimbursement policies.
Before that, she handled triage management, symptom acuity determination and coordination of appropriate dispositions as a Registered Nurse for Kaiser Permanente, a large HMO. Her nursing experience includes multiple hospital inpatient, outpatient, and pediatric facilities, as well as pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care.
Ms. Ross graduated Sigma Theta Tau (honors) from the University of Texas where she received her B.S. in Nursing (Cum Laude).
