Lottes, PharmD, brings to UBC extensive experience in pharmaceutical research (encompassing pre-clinical, phase I through phase IV and marketing launch), clinical operations, biostatistics and data management, as well as a strong history in publications and invited presentations. She also has expertise in regulatory affairs, including NDA development and label negotiation with the FDA.
Prior to joining UBC, Dr. Lottes served as Head of Development at R&D Salix Pharmaceuticals where she was directly responsible for all biostatistics, data management and clinical programming (BDMP), clinical research/operations and regulatory affairs. Having held a leadership role in FDA negotiations and recent approvals of two novel purgatives, as well as support of the training and launch of the franchise, Dr. Lottes served on advisory boards in Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Nephrology.
Dr. Lottes has authored and collaborated on numerous manuscripts in such peer-reviewed journals as New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal Cardiology and American Journal Gastroenterology.
Dr. Lottes holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, where she was Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy. She completed her post-doctorate fellowship in Cardiovascular Pharmacology at Hahnemann University Medical School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware.
