Jean Hosutt, PhD, coordinates all medical writing activities. In conjunction with the Senior Director of Medical Writing, she oversees project planning and development of timelines and coordinates with internal clinical data services (data management, programming, biostatistics) on medical writing projects. Dr. Hosutt also works with the project medical writers in the development of clinical protocols, clinical trial reports, IND, NDA and ICH regulatory summary documents and manuscripts for publication.

With over 26 years of experience and an extensive background in clinical document preparation in a broad range of therapeutic areas, she has served as the project medical writer/manager for over 24 NDAs.

Prior to joining UBC in 2000, Dr. Hosutt was Director of Document Development at Omnicare Clinical Research (formerly IBAH, Inc.). She also held key positions at Omnicare Clinical Research as Vice President of Clinical Writing and Director of Clinical Writing. 

Dr. Hosutt received both her PhD and Master of Science in Psychology/Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Iowa.
