Cyril Höschl

Professor Höschl, MD, DSc., FRCPsych., is a Professor of Psychiatry and department chairman at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and Director at the Prague Psychiatric Center. Since 2004, he has served as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of P.J.Safarik in Kosice, Slovak Republic. Prof. Höschl is also the President of the Association of European Psychiatrists and the Vice-President of the Vienna School of Clinical Research. His research interests include psychoneuroendocrinology, psychopharmacology and biological psychiary. He has published more than 100 publications including 3 monographs, and co-edited 5 more monographs and textbooks.

Prof. Höschl received his MUDr. (Doctor of Medicine) grade from the Charles University. He started his career in Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) in Prague. After completing his residency he became a research fellow and psychiatrist at PRI and assistant professor at Charles University in Prague.
