Kelly Davis, MD, provides clinical expertise to assist clients in clinical trial and observational study design, operations and development strategy, as well as support for safety aspects of studies and projects, including client drug safety monitoring boards (DSMB) and endpoint and safety monitoring committees.

Dr. Davis brings over 23 years’ experience in medicine as a physician, clinical researcher and pharmaceutical executive. She spent several years on the medical school faculty at Penn in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.

For the past ten years, Dr. Davis was Vice President and Therapeutic Area Head for Inflammation, Metabolism and Gastroenterology in Clinical Research and Development at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she was responsible for clinical development strategies and overseeing clinical trials from early development through the postmarketing period for projects in indications including type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and pain, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, SLE, asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, GERD in children and adults and peptic ulcer disease.

Dr. Davis received her medical degree from the University of Kansas College of Health Sciences, then completed an Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania.
